No other bird has been as intertwined with American historical and popular culture as the crow.
In an attempt to both investigate and celebrate the many roles of this ubiquitous and resilient avian both in American traditions and global perspectives, editor Matthew Schmeer is seeking a variety of creative works which explore, explain, glorify, and otherwise focus on crows both real and mythical. Please note that this is NOT a call for academic essays or scholarly work; only poetry, fiction (including micro-fiction, parables, folk tales, and myths), and creative non-fiction will be considered. Please no religious, political, or rhyming verse, although traditional Western and Asian forms other than haiku are especially encouraged. Linked haiku series are also acceptable.
The editor welcomes submissions from new and established writers.
