Bordon Books/Honor Books Note: this has a short deadline--August 23, 2004
Have you ever had to forgive anyone? Of course you have. We all have, and that process is not always easy. Sometimes we have to forgive over and over and over again. The journey toward forgiveness is not always a straight path, but one filled with twists and turns, steps forward and sometimes a step or two back before arriving at the victorious destination.
Bordon Books—in conjunction with Honor Books, an imprint of Cook Communications Ministries—is looking for stories of forgiveness. They can be about God forgiving people, people forgiving each other, even a person forgiving him or herself. We want the readers to be encouraged to forgive as well as give them practical examples of how to go about it.
We are not looking for teaching-type articles, but personal, heartfelt accounts of forgiveness in the lives of people just like the reader. The readers should be able to relate to the heartache of a person wronged, then given hope that they too can overcome the bondage of unforgiveness. The stories should stir readers to want to forgive, then motivate them to act on what they’ve learned.
The Gift of Letting Go will cover five aspects of forgiveness: Section 1: The Power of Forgiveness Section 2: How God’s Forgiveness Can Free You to Live Section 3: Forgive Yourself Section 4: How to Receive Forgiveness from Others Section 5: Forgiving Others
