Writers' Call for Submission:"Sleeping
With the Gods: An Erotic Odyssey"
-- an anthology inspired by
classical mythology edited by Mitzi Szereto (to
be published by Thunder's Mouth Press/Avalon Publishing Group, NY).
Classical
mythology has always contained a strong undercurrent of the erotic. It is my
goal as editor to take this to a further erotic realm, fostering the creation of
a new myth based on the classical. Although the main focus will be on the
Greco-Roman tradition, I will consider material outside of this area. Select
your favourite myth and go where your imagination takes you! Contemporary themes
preferred. (**NOTE: some myths have already been taken. Please check with me
before embarking on a story. And yes, I WILL consider non-Greco-Roman myths.)
Writers should make preliminary contact with via email and will receive
submission info at that time.
Word count should be 1,500 to 9,000.
Original
material only; no reprints.
For
submission info, email:
worddabbler@yahoo.com
(And
PLEASE, no email submissions!!)
Submission deadline March 1, 2006.

Chicken Soup for the Sister's Soul II
Share Your Favorite Story
She's the one who can make you giggle uncontrollably at the dinner table by
making a funny face, she teased you about your taste in your first
boyfriend, she offered her clothes and advice even when neither suited your
style; she knows instantly by the tone of your voice when something's wrong,
even though she's miles away.
Chances are you recognize this person if you're lucky enough to have a
sister. Whether you share this connection with genetics or the heart, by
common parents or common adventure, only the two of you understand your deep
and dynamic bond. Sisters II will once again celebrate that bond and the
sisters that helped you through life's ups and downs.
Call for Stories for Sister's Soul II
Topics will include but not be limited to:
A Sister's Love
Insights and Lessons
Sibling Revelry
Overcoming Obstacles
