Geared to all writers, regardless of genre or skill level, the newsletter is written in an intimate, one-on-one style, distinguishing it from other impersonal publications. Each issue contains informative and useful items for all writers, such as:

Writing tips. Recent Issues have included Judging Contests, Overcoming Writer's Block, The Genre of Essay Writing, Dealing With an Agent, The Joy of Self-Publishing, International Syndication, and Should You Write for Free?

Writing contests. Most issues contains listings of current prose and poetry contests.

Writing-related cartoons and pithy quotations add humor and insight to each issue.

Reviews of newly-published (as well as classic) books for writers are offered.

Short-short story fiction, essay and poetry contests are sponsored periodically. Winning entries are published in the newsletter.

Short, informative writing-related articles/essays written by readers appear frequently.

Each issue contains an entertaining and educational feature, "Can You Name This Author?," where readers are able to test their knowledge of the lives of the world's great writers.
